‘I said many things I should never have said’: Faissal Khan apologises to Aamir Khan ahead of the wedding
He called his sister. She picked up immediately. He found out his mother had been missing him and the next day he was on a flight to Mumbai.
Rain fell over Mumbai, but nothing dampened the warmth inside Aamir Khan’s home. Surrounded only by the people who matter most, he and Gauri Spratt exchanged vows in a wedding built entirely on intimacy.

Aamir Khan-Gauri Spratt wedding: Aamir Khan has officially tied the knot with longtime partner Gauri Spratt. The wedding ceremony took place at his Mumbai residence, keeping things small, personal, and close to home.
Heavy rainfall hit Mumbai on the day of the wedding, but that did not stop the celebrations from going ahead as planned.

Among the guests spotted arriving were former cricketer Irfan Pathan, actor-comedian Vir Das, and filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker. Aamir’s children, Junaid Khan and Ira Khan, were also seen arriving to be part of the celebration.

Vir Das has a working history with Aamir Khan Productions, having featured in the 2011 film Delhi Belly and the 2026 release Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos, which likely explains his presence at such a personal event.
Ahead of the wedding, Aamir had already shared that the couple planned to register their marriage in the presence of family and a handful of close friends. He made it clear there would be no wedding reception following the ceremony.
This marks Aamir Khan’s third marriage. He was previously married to Reena Dutta and later to Kiran Rao. For Gauri Spratt, this is her second marriage.
Aamir Khan personally asked fans and the media to send their blessings to the couple as they begin this new chapter together after wedding.
He shared his thoughts in a message, saying they were holding the wedding right at home and that all they wanted was everyone’s blessings for their happiness. He added that he hoped their journey ahead would be a good one, describing the entire affair as small, intimate, and truly homely.
The wedding brought together children from both sides of the couple’s lives. Aamir’s children from his first marriage to Reena Dutta, actor Junaid Khan and entrepreneur Ira Khan, were present. His son Azad, from his second marriage to Kiran Rao, also joined the celebrations.
Gauri Spratt’s son from her previous marriage was also part of the occasion.
Aamir Khan and Gauri Spratt were first introduced through his cousin, Nuzhat Khan, in Bengaluru. The two dated for about a year before Aamir publicly introduced her as his partner, doing so just ahead of his 60th birthday in March last year.
Since going public with their relationship, the couple has been living together at Aamir’s Bandra residence in Mumbai.
According to reports, the couple’s wedding day began with the official registration of their marriage under the Special Marriage Act. This formal registration took place before the private ceremony itself, making the legal aspect of their union official on the very same day as their intimate celebration.
Despite Aamir’s close ties within the industry, reports suggest that Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan are unlikely to attend the actual wedding ceremony on July 5.
A source quoted by the Free Press Journal indicated that while both superstars may miss this private event, there are expectations of a separate post-wedding celebration happening sometime after July 5. According to this report, both Salman and Shah Rukh are likely to join in for that later celebration instead.
